Course Purpose and Objectives
Mindset Leads – Training Feeds – Everything Else Follows.
Effectively fighting with your handgun to save your life (and the lives of others) requires developed and anchored fundamental skills.
The purpose of this course is to equip you with the necessary knowledge and tools for developing your fundamental shooting and combative skillsets on and off the shooting range. This in turn will feed into the development of your Combative Mindset – the willingness to Prevail at all cost. Additional focus areas will be unarmed combatives – the skills required to create space and opportunity to access your weapon, or resolve the confrontation without having to escalate to lethal force.
Handgun Combative skills, combined with a highly-developed Combative Mindset, is the key element to prevailing in violent encounters. There is more to this than only shooting accurately with speed, although that is certainly a foundational focus area of the training. In this regard, you will learn how to present your firearm from your chosen carry setup onto the target, place accurate shots while managing recoil, and do so with speed that comes from eliminating excess movement.
This training course takes place in a Defensive Shooting context, and all the drills that are trained and performed are focused on feeding into this context.
