Paratus Handgun Fundamentals Course – Somerset West 28/8

Paratus is running a full-day Handgun Fundamentals course in Somerset West on 28 August.

Consistent speed and accuracy, combined with a highly-developed combative mindset is what wins fights. Handgun Fundamentals are the foundation of all advanced skills, and is where consistent speed and accuracy comes from.

Presenting your pistol perfectly every single time you draw from your holster, so that when you punch out the sights are aligned with the target exactly where your eyes are looking, is the ideal.

It takes dedicated practice and perseverance to get to that level. But you have to start somewhere.

The purpose of this course is to equip you with the tools you need to develop your fundamental skillset on and off the shooting range. So that you can work towards achieving that perfect draw, and do so consistently.

It is a full-day course that incorporates dry fire drills to develop and cement skills in the morning, and then demonstrate those skills with live fire exercises in the afternoon.

Specific focus areas are:

  • Drawing and Presenting from Holster
  • Practical Marksmanship
  • Recoil Control
  • Shooting Positions
  • Reloading
  • Malfunction Clearing

You will need a handgun, a spare magazine, a holster, and a belt. The round count is 100.

Book your spot at: gideon@chsguns.co.za
